Handling Yellow Patches Caused by Pets

How do you prevent the yellowing of the grass from male dog urine?


Dear Joe-

Thanks for writing in. Teach the dog not to urinate on the grass! But seriously, assuming that’s not possible the other option is to install a special kind of artificial dog turf in one area of the yard. Depending on where you live, heating the turf will make them want to urinate in that space and save your grass from the larger spray of male dogs that affects more of the grass.
