If a potential client would like to speak with a current client, we are more than happy to make that connection.
Should any permits or permissions need to be obtained (Dig Safe, conservation approvals) K&R will work with the client to obtain these as needed.
A K&R representative will always come to meet with you a new client on their property to give them an idea of the related costs associated with any potential project.
K&R generally covers the greater Boston area but as many of clients have second homes on Cape Cod and other vacation areas, we are glad to provide services for all of their properties as the need arises and it makes geographic sense.

Though Roger has been in the business for 30+ years, he isn’t the retiring type and remains active in day-to-day operations at the company. If you don’t meet with Roger during the initial project assessment, you will certainly meet him on site once the project begins.
Budgets can range significantly project to project, but K&R focuses on the premium segment of the landscape market with projects starting in the [$20,000] area. When accepting new work, K&R management weighs several factors including project size, geography, and available company resources. However, for existing clients we are willing to take on smaller projects as landscaping needs arise throughout the years. Building a long-standing relationship with our clients is very important to us.
K&R has worked with architects since its inception and this experience allows us to seamlessly integrate with your architect’s design plans. We have worked with many architects throughout Boston and would be more than happy to make a referral for you, based on your geography and vision for the project.
K&R’s project scope can range quite substantially. Project length can range anywhere from a single visit to several months. An average for the company is roughly [2-4 weeks]. At the outset of the relationship, K&R will do its best to give you an accurate estimated completion date for your project. Clients should understand that one variable we can’t control for is the weather, so this may impact project timelines.
After the initial point of contact, one of K&R’s senior foreman will meet with prospective clients at their home to discuss client needs and walk the property. Following a property visit we will get quotes from any necessary subcontractors and then put a comprehensive proposal together. Generally, the senior foreman who meets with you at the outset of the relationship will be your point of contact throughout the project.
K&R has a diverse set of skills and experience that allow us to address the entire spectrum of landscape needs- from soil preparation all the way to finish planting. We generally do not perform regular maintenance (lawn mowing, pruning, seasonal cleanups) unless we perform the installation on the property and it makes sense for both parties from a budgetary and geographic standpoint. We find that over time customers often find additional installation projects we can address as we maintain their property. For more information, see our services page >>>
K&R works with both families and business, providing landscape installation and maintenance for private residences, HOA’s, country clubs, private and public gardens, restaurants, event venues, and more.
